Dianova in Italy Holds a Conference at the 56th Session of the CND in Vienna

On the occasion of the 56th annual session of the Committee on Narcotic Drugs (CND) which is being held at the United Nations Office in Vienna (Austria), Dianova in Italy staged a successful intervention on the bio-psycho-social approach developed in Dianova’s drug treatment facilities in Italy and in  drug treatment public agencies nationwide.

The conference brought together some fifty participants stemming from various countries, including M. Giuseppe Seàn Coppola, Counsellor to the Embassy of Italy in Vienna, representatives of various NGOs from Italy and Spain, and a delegation of Swedish politicians. After a short presentation of the work of the Dianova network worldwide, by Mr Angelo nazzari, director of Dianova Cozzo drug treatment center and by Mr Michele Bellasich, director of Dianova in Sweden, the features of the biopsychosocial approach were detailed by Ms Indira Pastoris, educator at the Dianova Garbagnate therapeutic community.
