A new cooperation agreement reflects both organizations’ commitment to increasing their contributions to civil society forums at the UN
This framework agreement signed between Organisation Internationale Dianova and Dianova USA, Inc., both of them being nonprofit organizations members of the Dianova International Network, emphasizes that both organizations are firmly determined to increase their contributions to civil society forums within the UN framework.
The agreement has been reinforced by an alliance with the United Methodist Church through the opening of a shared office located at the organization’s headquarters in New York City, which will allow us to work on five lines of action including: women (within the UN Commission on the Status of Women – CSW), migrations, sustainable development, education and addiction.
Among other objectives, this agreement will focus on promoting actions that contribute to education, enhancing addiction prevention and treatment services, promoting gender equality, women’s empowerment and community development, and contributing through their actions to increasing civil society participation in international organizations including UNODC, OAS, IDB and others.
The person in charge of this new project is Elisa Rubini, an expert on international relations and project management, with extensive experience in the third sector.
