Iacobus, an Educational & Therapeutic Journey along the Way of Saint-James

Les ados du centre de Zandueta, avec leurs éducateurs

A group of adolescents, from Dianova’s Zandueta therapeutic facility in Spain, has successfully completed five stages among those of the Way of St-James in northwestern Spain. This therapeutic and educational experience was started in Jaca, in the province of Aragon, to be finished on September 10 in Puente La Reina, the ultimate stage of their journey.

During their journey, the young pilgrims kept a logbook (http://www.facebook.com/dianova.es), where they could express their thoughts about the journey and the feeling of comradeship it could entail.   In addition, everyone of them was able to take up one’s personal challenges and reach specific objectives, in addition to those who had been agreed between the young people and the educator who accompanied them.

This activity is part of Dianova’s therapeutic and educational program; it has been made possible thanks to the participation of the Government of Navarra and the sportsmanship of Dianova employees.

The center of Zandueta is located in the Navarra region’s Arce valley, in the midst of a natural environment which favors the center’s intensive educational and therapeutic interventions. The center is dedicated to addressing the needs of male and female adolescents; its beautiful surroundings help them focus on their problems while participating in a variety of educational activities inspired by nature, which enable healthy and positive personal growth.

Educational and therapeutic interventions are under the responsibility of a team of dedicated professionals who endeavor to find suitable solutions to the difficulties the adolescents face.
