Jordi Alos, Director General of Dianova in Uruguay, participated in the meeting as a delegate of civil society organizations, representing the National Association of Development-oriented NGOs (ANONG) in Uruguay.

What’s the Global Partnership for Effective Development?

The Global Partnership was created at the Fourth High-Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness in Busan (South Korea) in 2011 and came into effect in 2012. It brings together governments, bilateral and multilateral organizations, civil society and representatives from parliaments and the private sector all committed to strengthening the effectiveness of their development co-operation.

Realizing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development requires the mobilization and effective use of all types of development resources.

It supports and ensures accountability for the implementation of shared principles and differentiated commitments at the political level. It contributes to the strengthening of the global partnership for sustainable development.
