On September 6, six social workers from Sweden paid a visit, both cultural and corporate, to Dianova in Portugal where they met with some of the Swedish people undergoing a treatment program in Quinta das Lapas therapeutic community. Following a brief presentation of Dianova’s treatment approach and outcomes, the group enjoyed a visit throughout the center’s famous architectural and environmental heritage, followed by a tour of the therapeutic community where they conducted some informal interviews with the center’s Swedish residents.

The visit appeared to have been appreciated by the members of the delegation who said they enjoyed the center’s tranquil and peaceful natural environment, in addition to being enthusiastic about the program. Several specific issues arose anyway, including a comparison between each organization’s procedures and knowhow.

“We would like to thank you for your hospitality during this visit to Dianova. Our first impression is that you do a great job. We appreciate the efforts you made in the preparation of the visit, as well as the fantastic environment you live in. Sharing impressions with our Swedish residents was also highly positive. Thank you and keep going.” “
