Types of Membership

Ordinary Members

Legal persons can apply to become an ordinary member of Dianova International provided that they adhere to the purposes and principles of Dianova International. In addition, ordinary members must commit themselves to the obligations and responsibilities arising from their membership. Among other duties, they must bear the name of Dianova; respect its guidelines and regulations; utilize its brand name in accordance with Dianova’s general principles; submit their annual reports to Dianova International; notify to Dianova International any modification of their bylaws; and, in case of a dissolution, distribute their assets to like-minded, not-for-profit organizations and in accordance with the Law.

Ordinary members must pay an annual membership contribution, the amount of which shall be fixed every year by the Assembly of Delegates. During the assembly meeting held on June 29, 2016, the delegates of the Organisation Internationale Dianova decided that the membership dues would amount to EUR. 3,000 for the year 2017.

Affiliate Members

Similarly, legal persons can apply to become an affiliate member of Dianova International provided that they adhere to the organization’s purposes and general principles, guidelines and regulations. However, the obligations of affiliate members are restricted to the submission of their annual reports to Dianova International and to the notification of any modification of their bylaws.

Affiliate members must pay an annual membership contribution, the amount of which shall be fixed every year by the Assembly of Delegates. During the assembly meeting held on June 29, 2016, the delegates of the Organisation Internationale Dianova decided that the membership dues would amount to EUR. 1,500 for the year 2017.

Associate Members

In 2015, the Assembly of Delegates ratified the creation of the associate member status. This status is intended to enable like-minded organizations to join forces with the Dianova network to advance their common objectives and give civil society a stronger voice in international organizations.

Any not-for-profit legal person registed with the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) or with status to the ECOSOC and active in the fields of education, youth, addiction treatment or prevention, women’s rights and/or social and community development can apply to become an associate member of Dianova International.

Associate members must pay an annual membership contribution, the amount of which may vary according to their budget. During the assembly meeting held on June 29, 2016, the delegates of the Organisation Internationale Dianova decided that the contributions for the year 2017 would be fixed according to the following scale:

  • Budget less than 50,000 USD: exempt from fee
  • Budget between 50,000 and 100,000 USD: 50 USD
  • Budget between 100,000 and 200,000 USD: 100 USD
  • Budget between 200,000 and 250,000 USD: 150 USD
  • Budget in excess of 250,000 USD: 200 USD
